BVAS would like to thank two generous funders that recently awarded us grants: the first is the Rincon Band of Luiseño Indians, who awarded us a $5,000 grant for our childrens’ nature education programs.
The second is San Diego Parks4Kids (a partnership between the Outdoor Foundation, Outdoor Industry Association, and the San Diego Foundation). They awarded us $700 from a crowdfunding campaign for our Sharing our Shores program; this program teaches kids how to become advocates for protecting at-risk shorebirds, through art, conservation, science, and activities at local beaches.
We are very grateful for these funders, who help keep our programs going and make a difference in the lives of hundreds of kids in North County who are able to experience the extraordinary beauty of our coastal lagoons and beaches. THANK YOU!!!
