This is a good time of year for locally scarce Buller’s and Flesh-footed shearwaters, and will be one of the best trips for rarities. The irregular Craveri’s Murrelet is still a possibility, as are Red-billed Tropicbird, South Polar Skua, and Sabine’s Gull.
LIKELY SPECIES: Pink-footed, Sooty, and Black-vented shearwaters, Brown Booby, Red and Red-necked phalaropes, Pomarine and Parasitic jaegers, Cassin’s Auklet, Common Tern.
POSSIBLE SPECIES: Black-footed Albatross, Northern Fulmar, Flesh-footed and Buller’s shearwaters, Red-billed Tropicbird, South Polar Skua, Sabine’s Gull, Craveri’s and Guadalupe murrelets, Black, Ashy, Least, and Leach’s storm-petrels.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
FROM I-5
I-5 to Sea World Drive exit. West on Sea World Drive. 1/4 mile past Sea World entrance to West Mission Bay Drive. Stay to right. Proceed through traffic loop to first stoplight. Left at stoplight onto short access road. Left at end of short access road onto Quivira Road. Fourth building on the right.
FROM I-8
I-8 West to West Mission Bay Drive exit. Right at end of off ramp. Go over bridge. Go past Sea World Drive. Go 1/4 mile past Sea World Drive. Veer right onto West Mission Bay Drive. Proceed through traffic loop to first stoplight. Left at stoplight onto short access road. Left at end of short access road onto Quivira Road. Fourth building on the right.
FROM I-15
Take the 15 to the 163 S to I-8 West to West Mission Bay Drive exit. Right at end of off ramp. Go over bridge. Go past Sea World Drive. Go 1/4 mile past Sea World Drive. Veer right onto West Mission Bay Drive. Proceed through traffic loop to first stoplight. Left at stoplight onto short access road. Left at end of short access road onto Quivira Road. PARKING: There is free parking in the lot at Seaforth Landing.
PHOTO I.D. and BOARDING PASS REQUIRED: All passengers departing Fisherman’s Landing and Point Loma Sportfishing must complete the manifest and present photo identification and obtain a boarding pass prior to passing through the Coast Guard security gates. This is mandatory procedure per U.S. Homeland Security.
START YOUR DAY STRESS-FREE: We recommend that you arrive at the landing an hour prior to scheduled departure to allow plenty of time to find the landing, park, unload or transport gear, sign the manifest, use the landing’s restroom, visit with friends, and board the Eclipse 30 minutes before scheduled departure.
