Ramona Bird Walk

February 14, 2016 @ 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

The hills and grasslands around Ramona are a favorite hunting grounds for a number of wintering raptor species, including golden eagles, ferruginous hawks, and prairie falcons. We’ll also be looking for a recently reported yellow-bellied sapsucker at Collier Park, cackling geese, a nesting bald eagle, mountain bluebirds, and other fun species.
Directions:
Collier Park; 626 E. Street; Ramona. Take Hwy. 78 east to Ramona; turn left to continue on Hwy. 78; left on Olive St.; right on 7th St. Park at 7th and E St. NOTE: Pay attention to Hwy. 78 signs as you drive through Ramona. There are some changes in the name of the street but it`s still Hwy. 78 and has the Hwy. 78 signs.
