Preserve Calavera will be hosting a coffee/king tide meetup on Dec. 5 at 8:30 a.m at Sleeping Tiger Coffee (2906 Carlsbad Blvd) for a brief discussion about how climate change, through rise sea levels, will be affecting our coastline. King tides give us a preview of what’s to come. Then we’ll disperse to photograph the king tides to document their effects for the California King Tides Project http://california.kingtides.net/   High tide is at 9:30 a.m. Note: December 3 & 4 also are king tides and people are encouraged to take photos on those days also and upload to the King Tide website.
